Acro Tots (Parent & Child):
30-minute class that teaches beginning tumbling skills (log rolls, front rolls, back rolls and more), coordination, flexibility and teamwork. A parent/guardian may assist child with the class. (2 & 3 year olds)
Tumble Bunnies (Preschool Gymnastics):
45-minute class that teaches beginning tumbling skills (front rolls, back rolls, cartwheels, head stands and more), an introduction to apparatus, coordination, flexibility and teamwork. (3-5 year olds)
Gymnastics
Fireflies (Artistic Gymnastics - Level 1):
1-hour class that teaches beginning gymnastics skills including cartwheels, backbends, handstands and introduces skills on the apparatus (bars, beam, vault and floor). The class is designed for children ages 4-8.
Gym 1 (Artistic Gymnastics - Level 1):
-hour class that teaches beginning gymnastics skills including cartwheels, backbends, handstands and also introduces skills on the apparatus (bars, beam, vault and floor). The class is designed for children ages 8 and older.
Hot Shots (Artistic Gymnastics - Level 2):
1-hour class. Athletes must be able to perform the following before enrolling in this class: floor - a front & back roll, good cartwheel, go down into a backbend and a headstand; bars - a cast push away dismount & 10 second chin hold; beam – arabesque, straight jump and straight jump dismount. The class will teach intermediate tumbling skills and level 2 gymnastics skills.
Tumbling
Tumble Bears (Beginner Tumbling):
1-hour class that teaches beginning tumbling skills (front rolls, back rolls, cartwheels, backbends, headstands, and more). The class also introduces handstands, one-hand cartwheels, round offs, beginner stunts, coordination, flexibility, strength training, teamwork and more.
Cartwheel Kids (Intermediate Tumbling):
1-hour class. Athletes must be able to perform a back roll, good cartwheel, go down into a backbend and a headstand before enrolling in this class. The class reviews beginning tumbling skills and also teaches handstands, round offs, 1 hand cartwheels, front limbers, walkovers, some back handsprings, stunts, coordination, flexibility, strength training, teamwork, and more.
Daring Dogs (Advanced Tumbling):
1-hour class. Athletes must be able to perform a good round off, one-arm cartwheel, handstand, and go up & down into a backbend before enrolling in this class. The class reviews intermediate tumbling skills and also teaches walkovers, back handsprings, aerials, stunts, flexibility, strength training, teamwork, and more. We highly recommend that athletes enroll for two days a week once the athlete reaches the advanced level.
Exciting Elites I (Elite Tumbling):
1 -hour class. Athletes must be able to perform a front limber, back walkover, a good back handspring and a round off back handspring before enrolling in this class. The class reviews advanced tumbling skills and also teaches whips, tucks, and various other series and standing tumbling skills. Athletes will also continue to work on flexibility, strength training, and teamwork.
Exciting Elites II (Elite Tumbling):
1 -hour class. Athletes must be able to perform a front walkover, valdez and a round off three back handsprings before enrolling in this class. The class reviews elite tumbling skills and also teaches tucks, layouts, fulls and various other series and standing tumbling skills. Athletes will also continue to work on flexibility, strength training, and teamwork. See Angie if you want to add a 2nd class.
Recreational Cheerleading
Mini Pep Club (Youth Cheerleading – Level 1):
1-hour class. The class is designed for athletes ages 4-11. The class teaches beginning cheerleading skills including jumps, motions & stunts. The class may work on some tumbling, but tumbling instruction will be limited. This FUN class is designed to help prepare athletes to tryout for the Mini/Youth Cheerleading Team(s). Tryouts will be held Mondays, May 12th and 19th from 7:15-8:45 PM at the Wilmington Gym.
Youth Pep Club (Youth Cheerleading – Level 2/3):
1-hour class. The class is designed for athletes ages 6-11. Athletes must be able to perform a cartwheel round off, 1 hand cartwheel, be in the advanced or elite level of tumbling, perform a good toe touch and pike jump before enrolling in this class. The class teaches intermediate and advanced cheerleading skills including difficult jump sequences and level 2 & 3 stunts/pyramids. The class may work some tumbling, but tumbling instruction will be limited. The FUN class is designed to help prepare athletes to tryout for the All Star Cheerleading Team(s). Tryouts will be held Mondays, May 12th and 19th from 7:15-8:45 PM at the Wilmington Gym.
Junior/Senior Pep Club (Cheer/Tumbling):
1-hour class. The class is designed for middle school, high school, and/or college cheerleaders or those wanting to try out for cheerleader. The class teaches tumbling skills (round off, back handsprings, and more), jumps, stunts, strength training, teamwork, and more. The class is also designed to help prepare athletes to tryout for the Junior/Senior Cheerleading Team(s). Tryouts will be held Mondays, May 12th and 19th from 7:15-8:45 PM at the Wilmington Gym..

The Mini team is for ages 8 and under (age as of 5/31/08). Tryouts for the 2008-2009 season will be held May 16 & 23 from 6-8:30 PM.

Athletes must be able to perform a cartwheel round off & 1 hand cartwheel (a minimum of advanced level tumbling or higher) – back handsprings are preferred. The team will learn stunts, jumps, dances, teamwork and more. The competitive season is from June 2008-Spring 2009. The team will compete in 5-6 competitions throughout the season. Not included in the monthly fees are the cost of uniform, registration fees, travel and miscellaneous expenses. The Youth team is for ages 11 and under (age as of 5/31/08). Tryouts for the 2008-2009 season will be held May 16 & 23 from 6-8:30 PM.

Not included in the monthly fees are the cost of uniform, registration fees, travel and miscellaneous expenses. The Junior team is for ages 8-14. The Senior team is for ages 11-18 (age as of 5/31/08) and college age athletes are welcome as long as he/she has not turned 19 prior to 5/31/08. Tryouts for the 2008-2009 season will be held May 16 & May 23 from 6-8:30 PM.
Boys
Flying Tigers (Boys Tumbling):
1-hour class that teaches boys the proper technique for handstands, back handsprings, tucks and more. The class focuses on strength training, coordination, and teamwork. The class is open to a variety of levels and is designed to cater to each child’s unique talents through proper progressions. (5 years+; under 5 should enroll in preschool tumbling).
Competitive Gymnastics & Acro Gymnastics Team
Aerial's Gymnastics Preteam (Artistic Gymnastics - Level 3):
2 ½ hours team & 1 hour tumbling class = 3 ½ hours total. Athletes must be able to perform the following skills prior to being invited to be on the preteam: floor – handstand roll, round off, go up & down into backbend and 1 hand cartwheel; bars – back hip pullover and back hip circle; beam – handstand, split jump and side handstand dismount. The preteam will learn back handsprings, round off back handsprings and other skills to prepare them for the gymnastics team. Athletes may compete at 3-5 competitions throughout the season. Not included in the monthly fee are the cost of uniform(s), registration fees, travel and miscellaneous expenses. Additional practices may be added prior to meets.
Aerial's Gymnastics Team (Artistic Gymnastics - Level 4 and up):
5 hours team & 1 hour tumbling class = 6 hours total. Athletes must be able to perform the following prior to being invited to be on the team: floor – front limber, back walkover, back handspring and round off back handspring; bars – back hip pullover, back hip circle, front hip circle and single leg shoot through/windmill; beam - handstand, split leap and side handstand ¼ turn dismount. The team will learn a variety of higher-level gymnastics skills. Athletes will compete at 4-7 competitions throughout the season. Not included in the monthly fee are the cost of uniform(s), registration fees, travel and miscellaneous expenses. Additional practices may be added prior to meets.
Aerial's Acrobats Preteam (Acrobatic Gymnastics - Levels 4 & 5):
1 hour team & 1 hour tumbling class = 2 hours total. Athletes must be able to perform a front limber, back walkover, handstand roll and round off to enroll in the preteam. The preteam will learn a variety of tricks/stunts that will prepare athletes to tryout for the Acrobatic Gymnastics Team. The cost includes a tumbling class of choice. Acro Preteam will only be during the summer quarter.
Aerial's Acrobats Team (Acrobatic Gymnastics Team - Levels 5 & up):
5 hours team & 1 hour tumble class = 6 hours total. Athletes may join by tryout/invitation only. The team will learn stunts/tricks, tumbling, dance, teamwork, and more. The competitive season is from August 2007-July 2008. The team will compete at 5-7 competitions throughout the season. Included in the monthly fee is a tumbling class of choice/ability. Not included in the monthly fees are the cost of uniform(s), registration fees, travel, and miscellaneous expenses.

Open Gym
1-hour open gym time. This is a time designed for middle school cheerleaders, high school cheerleaders and/or other athletes needing extra tumble time. Although the open gym will be supervised, instructional time may be limited and/or inconsistent depending on the number of athletes at each open gym. Athletes still must pay the $25 annual registration fee and have a registration form and release form on file.
Summer Back Handspring Clinics
$18 per clinic; $45 to prepay for all 3 (must be paid by June 7th)
This clinic is designed to teach back handspring fundamentals, technique and drills. Athletes will have the opportunity to do many repetitions. To attend the clinic, athletes must be able to do a good round off and be able to hold a good handstand (with or without support) for 30 seconds.
Policies & Procedures
• Aerial’s is a Christian based gym. We work hard to create a caring, nurturing and positive environment for families. Inappropriate behavior or language will not be tolerated and could be reason for dismissal. Coaches/instructors may at times pray with and/or for athletes. Also, the last class of the month will include a short (3-5 minute) Christian devotion. For a sample of the devotion, please ask a staff member. If you do not want your child to participate in the devotion, please notify a staff member.

• 100% money back guarantee for new athletes. If a new athlete attends the first class/practice and does not choose to continue, the athlete will be refunded 100% of class money paid if Aerial’s is notified within one week of the first class. If after the second class/week, the athletes chooses not to continue the refund is 50%. After three weeks, there is no refund. The $25 registration fee is nonrefundable

• Tuition payments are due on or before the first practice of every month or quarter. A $5 per week late fee will be applied after the 7th of each month.. No class spots will be held without monthly/quarterly tuition. Under no circumstance will Aerial’s accept a postdated check. If class/team fees are more than 90 days past due, the account may go to a credit reporting collection agency. Uniforms, shoes, etc. will not be distributed until accounts are paid in full.

• By enrolling in the spring quarter, athletes are committing to the 12-week session. Although athletes have the option of paying in three monthly installments, one is still required to pay for the entire quarter. If an athlete decides to stop coming to class in the middle of the quarter or after one month, he/she will be billed for the remainder of the quarter.

• All athletes are required to pay a $25 annual registration fee for insurance purposes. This fee includes a t-shirt, is due the first month enrolled and annually thereafter. The fee is nonrefundable. Athletes that only attend open gym and/or private lessons still must pay the annual registration fee.

• There will be a $25 fee for each returned check. After 2 returned checks, the athlete(s) in that particular family will then be a cash only account.

• Aerial’s Athletics, LLC reserves the right to cancel an athlete’s membership at any time.

• All athletes are allowed to make-up one class per quarter regardless of reason for the absence. If Aerial’s cancels a class due to inclement weather, illness, etc.; the athlete will be permitted to make-up the class and it will not count as the athlete’s one make-up class. Make-up classes must be completed before the end of the spring quarter.

• NEW THIS QUARTER!!!! All make-up classes must be completed on Saturday from 12-1PM at the Leesburg or Wilmington gym. No athlete will be allowed to make-up a class during the week. The make-up must be scheduled in advance and completed by May 24, 2008.

• Rates are based upon a 4 class per month schedule / 12 classes per quarter. Some months may include 5 classes while others may at times include 3. For example, in May there will only be 3 Monday classes, however in March there are 5
